CENTENNIAL ANNIVERSARY OF THE HARLEM RENAISSANCE

11/07/2019/NEW YORK CITY – One Art Space and The Art Boss Repository (a divison of Young Boss Media), will honor the centennial anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance and its global influence by curating a solo-exhibition entitled Renaissance Rebirth.  An astonishing collection of cubism paintings by Mark Anthony Hill, the Renaissance Rebirth is also a live art and media experience for attendees. Visitors will be able to attend live music and poetry events similar to gatherings that would have taken place 100 years ago in Harlem. Guests can also participate in a documentary on the state of art 100 years after the Harlem Renaissance, all while being surrounded by the powerful works of Mark Anthony Hill.

A native of Montego Bay, Jamaica, Hill has been painting for the past 26 years. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Pablo Picasso, Valente Malangatana Ngwenya from Mozambique, and Wifredo Lam from Cuba. Hill’s powerful body of work has what it takes tomake him one of the standout painters of this era.  This solo exhibition commemorates the legacy of the Harlem Renaissance while progressing and inspiring artists of the future. Hill has expressed interest in having the Renaissance Rebirth collection placed in a cultural museum to ensure his pieces are always available to tell the story of his people.
