16\/03\/2017\/ Espa\u00f1a.- \u00a0The Secretariat of the World Tourism Organization referring to decision CE\/DEC\/15(CIV) of the Executive Council at its 104th session (Luxor, Egypt, 30 October \u2013 1 November 2016), on the procedure for the election of the Secretary-General, informs in regards to the election for the post of Secretary-General for the period 2018-2021, that as of 11 March 2017, 24:00 hours, Madrid time, the deadline for the submission of candidatures in accordance with the aforementioned decision, the following candidatures were complete and duly accompanied by the required documents (letter of the candidate, curriculum vitae, statement of policy and management intent and a certificate of good health signed by a recognized medical facility), along with the letter of support from the Government of the country endorsing a candidate (listed in alphabetical order of the Member State):<\/p>\n
La Secretar\u00eda de la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial del Turismo refiri\u00e9ndose a la decisi\u00f3n CE \/ DEC \/ 15 (CIV) del Consejo Ejecutivo en su 104\u00aa reuni\u00f3n (Luxor, Egipto, 30 de octubre – 1\u00ba de noviembre de 2016), sobre el procedimiento para la elecci\u00f3n del Secretario General , Informa sobre la elecci\u00f3n del cargo de Secretario General para el per\u00edodo 2018-2021, que a partir del 11 de marzo de 2017, a las 24.00 horas, hora de Madrid, el plazo para la presentaci\u00f3n de candidaturas de conformidad con la mencionada decisi\u00f3n, las siguientes candidaturas fueron aceptadas puesto que cumpl\u00edan con todo los exigencias y la presentaci\u00f3n \u00a0de los documentos requeridos (carta del candidato, curr\u00edculum vitae, declaraci\u00f3n de intenci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica y de gesti\u00f3n y certificado de buena salud firmado por un centro m\u00e9dico reconocido), junto con la carta de apoyo del Gobierno del pa\u00eds apoyando sucandidatura (enumerado por orden alfab\u00e9tico del Estado miembro):<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Armenia:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Mr. Vahan Martirosyan submitted with the support of the Government of Armenia and received on 10 March 2017;<\/p>\n Brazil:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Mr. M\u00e1rcio Favilla submitted with the support of the Government of Brazil and received on 6 March 2017;<\/p>\n Colombia:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Mr. Jaime Alberto Cabal Sanclemente submitted with the support of the Government of Colombia and received on 6 March 2017;<\/p>\n Georgia:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili submitted with the support of the Government of Georgia and received on 2 December 2016;<\/p>\n Republic of Korea:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Mrs. Young-shim Dho submitted with the support of the Government of the Republic of Korea and received on 24 February 2017;<\/p>\n Seychelles:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Mr. Alain St. Ange submitted with the support of the Government of Seychelles and received on 18 January 2017;<\/p>\n Zimbabwe:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Mr. Walter Mzembi submitted with the support of the Government of Zimbabwe and received on 4 March 2017;<\/p>\n La Secretar\u00eda recibi\u00f3 otras siete solicitudes que no estaban acompa\u00f1adas de los documentos requeridos. En consecuencia, las solicitudes no se someter\u00e1n a la 105\u00aa reuni\u00f3n del Consejo Ejecutivo.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n The Secretariat received seven other applications which were not accompanied by the required documents.
